Initial funding secured for new community transport scheme

ABILITY Community Transport

Following the award of a grants from South Northants Council work is now under way to commence the project.

We are looking for support from the residents of South Northants to launch a new rural bus service. We need to create the awareness of the scheme to provide a shopper service to Towcester; Stoney Stratford/Wolverton and Sainsbury and Tesco in Northampton

  1. Extremely interested to hear of these ideas and proposals. Here in Yardley Gobion we lost all our bus services in July and this has left us disconnected from anywhere else. The village has a population of around 1300 with a significant number of older people – who are unable to drive and are therefore cut off completely or have to rely on Taxis. It would be great if we could be part of your pilot scheme. We would be very happy to put you in touch with our Parish Council if you are willing to discuss further.

Please ask your parish council to contact us as we are already looking at the area you live in as Deanshanger, Paulersbury and those areas surrounding the A508 which we can transport to the shops in Stoney Stratford and Wolverton

We are looking for local co-ordinators who can help spread the word locally would you be interested?
